I bet you’ve used the word ‘TRY’ recently,
What if I told you the word try should be crossed off your dictionary.
Well, I’m here to talk about the word TRY

For starters, It's a tad bit difficult to communicate my ideas via this 2d world.
However, I will do it.
Notice how I said I will do it, not try!!!

Let's proceed….

This is a physical exercise and I need you to participate with me.
Like you need to actually do as I say for you to get the gist..

Deal?
DEAL!

Firstly, I need you to Relax.
Get comfortable…

If you are standing, Sit down
Get a nice chair and Chill

Rub your hands together…

Take a deep breath...

Think about what you had for breakfast?

What was it?

Did you enjoy it?

Now,

Get comfy in your chair…

swing your neck around your head

get in a comfortable position on your seat.

Make sure your feet are grounded on the floor

Now I want you to try to stand up…

Literally

…try to stand up from your chair

go on

Try

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

Did you stand up?

You, see I said try to stand up not stand up

9/10times your brain tells you to actually stand up.

WHY?

The word try confuses the brain!
and your brain subconsciously picks the most comfortable action
If there's anything I know about the brain it would choose the less challenging, less risky, and most comfortable option.

The word “Try” implies a lack of adequate action.
If I say I am going to “Try” to do something, I am really saying “I am going to attempt to do it, but not actually do it”.
If I say, I “am” going to “do” something, this has a much different meaning to it.

The word try creates doubt
It subconsciously drops your credibility towards action
Don't get me wrong,
A person who uses the word try is better than the person who quits all together.
But, we are not a half bread is better than none community
We are high flyers!
We do the most over here!!

Master Yoda from star wars said it best

try not. Do or do not

There is no try
Try gives you an out,
Once a person says “ I will” his or her perspective changes
You’ll finish as long as you don't quit
There should be no try
only persistence to do
That's all that matters

Instead of saying “Try”, replace this with “Do, will, must, to”. Consider the difference between these two statements.

“I am going to try to meet the deadline”

Replace with

“I am going to meet the deadline”

Do you see the difference?

………

If what you want to do really matters, never say, “I’ll try.” Say, “I will,” and keep that promise to yourself.
A few words that should not be in your dictionary Impossible, Try.
Impossible to Difficult
Try to will

By removing the “Try” we do not give the subconscious the option of failure.

Words have power!
but you knew that.
Either consciously or subconsciously, words will have a powerful effect on your thought process, emotions, and behavior.
So, by being mindful of the effect that words can have, and structuring your vocabulary and language patterns accordingly, you can have a significant impact on your life, as well as those around you.

HACK: Look at everything you are “trying” to do and decide which of those things are non-negotiable and eliminate the word try. Watch things take a different turn.

There is a reason why Nike’s famous slogan isn’t Just try it!

What is it?

Just DO it!
