Happy New year everyone.
It is your captain Speaking.

2024 a chance for a fresh start.
A chance to create,
We had some wins, we had some loses,
We had some loses, some is an understatement to be honest..
We got a couple of hard knocks in so many ways.

We saw the exit of key personnels in 2023 as well.
Lost relationships,
Lost team members,
Lost Investors,
We were forced to let go, even if we were not ready,
Sometimes when it is time, it is time.
2023 taught me to let go.

It is hard to fail,
Rephrase, it is painful to fail…
It is had to get punched in the Jaw and stand up.
It is harder to stand up eight times after falling 7 times.
We are all still here, having gone through so many lows.
Even though we may be hanging by the thread of a string. Ladies and gentlemen.
We are still here.
A round of applause for yourself, you are the all superheroes.

It is hard to fail, but what is even worse, is never having tried to succeed.
Last year taught me a lot of lessons.
One of the lessons it thought me was really on Challenges…
Challenges are part of what makes Life interesting,
overcoming them is what makes life meaningful

As we step into the new year, I am focused on building a Professional Sports team.
Sports team that has the right team members on the team, and the right team members in the right positions.
There would be changes within the organisations, as we move towards a sports team.

This year, we are going to be adopting a more remote Strucuture.
We would be growing internationally.
Timezones would be in Contact flux.
While we look to find a balance, the typical WAT focused 9–5 timezone would not work for effective collaboration. We are going to be more dynamic.
I can tell you that meetings would be set for 9pm Nigerian time, With myself and team members internationally.
We would definitely make space for the Nigerian team members, HR would share more, However, Do plan your schedules around that.

I Know a lot of you have questions on Patricia, if and when Patricia would bounce back.

My answer to that are stories, stories from the bible.
I have 2 stories.

I’ll start with the story of Joseph.

While there is the story of Glory, Jospeh the Prime minister of Egypt.
Before Joseph become the Prime minister, his story was one filled with affliction.

From being sold by his brothers.
Slavery in Egypt, he was accused by the portifphars wife
Forgotten by the cupbearer. He interpreted the Cupbeareres dream. But he still got forgotten by the cupbearer
With a lot of Faith, steadfastness, the spirit of doing the most.
The story of Joesph ends in his rise to power.

Another story is the Story of the People of Israelite

Starting off with their exodus from Egypt. Hard Battle with Moses.
Wandering in the wilderness for 40 years.
The lord has been providing them Manna for many years, while on their Journey.

When they got to the promise land,
Guess what, Manna stopped coming from the heavens.
They were so surprised, how do we get to the promise land and theres no more food.
The people asked, what kind of Promise land is this.
A Promise land with no food.

However, Cessation of Manna, had a significance.
It signified a new phase in the life of the Israelites.
They need to settle into the promised land.
God was leaving them to a land where they could sustain themselves, innovate, build, build not just to feed, not just for themselves but for their Generations to come.

I say all of this to say.
As we enter into 2024.
Our promise Land
I want you all to Step in with the mindset of a brand new habitat

A New habitat
A New place demands new plans
A New seasons needs new strategies
New Skills

As long as we keep on marching
Marching in Diligence,
With Courage,
With Resilience,
With strength and entering action with Boldness.

We shall overcome.
We about to write the Greatest African Comeback story every told.

Welcome to 2024.
